Wink Hello! New girl on the block!

Hi, I'm the new girl on the block! Just thought I'd drop in and say "hello" to all my fellow LowCarbers!

I have been dieting since I started having children which was way back when...(I have 8 children). So, I have alot of baby weight too loose that has accumulated over the years. I've tried every diet under the sun and I only loose 10 pounds after being on them for 2 months. Then I usually gain it all back with a few extra. I never really feel all that great on the diets...and it's a challenge to keep from being hungry all the time!

I've been hearing about this Atkins diet for a while now and just didn't believe it would really work so I put off trying it for a long time. But hubby & I finally decided to try it out and I can't believe how WONDERFUL I feel! I lost 12 pounds in the first 7 days and I just got on the scale and I lost another 2 pounds!!!

I couldn't be more excited...but the most amazing thing of all is that I don't feel hungry in between meals! For the first time I actually found a diet that has gurbed my appetite! I'm delirious with joy!!!

However, I am sorta new at all this so finding recipes for hubby & I and cooking for 8 children has been a challenge. Having such a big family has forced me to cook alot of pasta & rice dishes in order to stretch the meals & the budget! And I'm finding out it's not cheap to eat healthy! I still cook the old regular way for my kids but the LC way for hubby & I....but it all adds up quickly!

Anyway I'm glad I found this place thanks to a cyber pal of mine who is also on the Atkins diet!! (Hi Holli! & congrats for loosing 25-lbs. so far!)

God bless & hugs,
Lanaiah
