Default cottage cheese?

I don't see many people including cottage cheese in their daily menus. I did not eat it when I was doing Atkins induction, but would like to be able to include it in my daily menus now.

Do many of you eat cottage cheese, maybe with some berries? Is it a good food for low carbing?

Thanks for any opinions!

I buy a carton of it about every one or two months. It's not something I consume daily/weekly mainly because it is pretty high carb and I would rather get my carbs from veggies/fruit than dairy, mainly due to the nutritional benefits.

I like ricotta or cream cheese better than cottage cheese. Both are higher in fat and protein and lower in carbs. Besides, I associate cottage cheese with those low cal or low fat diets I used to try to stick with, and being hungry and mad at having to eat something I didn't really like.

I love cottage cheese. The one I buy says 5 carbs per serving (1/2 cup)
I follow the GO diet and it allows cottage cheese. Don't know about Atkins.

I eat cottage cheese and berries mixed with Splenda just about every day for breakfast! I love it!! Worth every single carb to me.

I used to eat cottage cheese and berries almost daily for one of my meals when I was doing strict Body For Life. But when I decided to go lower carb I quit because of the carbs. Now that I am done with induction I think I will need to add that back in!!

Thanks everyone for all of your replies.
