Default I was going to suggest Carbolite also

I'm a chocoholic and one of the worst things about doing Atkins for me has been giving up the real thing, especially See's! But Carbolite is a pretty good substitute. However, I have one question to ask:how safe is maltitol & splenda, the stuff they love to use in all these low-carb foods? Any health risks?

I have only come across two articles saying that Splenda is bad, one is in the artificial sweetners list and the other one is right here


The other known health risks in some processed foods are partially hydrogented oils known as trans fatty acids and they are found in most low carb bars.

Unhappy Yikes, no more splenda for me!!

Thanks for the info on splenda -- indeed scary stuff! I've been stocking up on the stuff for sweetening my one cup of coffee daily & on Hansen's natural diet soda which is sweetened with splenda -- but now I'll just give it up!
