Default so...has anyone tried the new atkins wraps at subway???

I had 2 major shocks while watching world idol today. 1. Kelly Clarkson didn't win (I know, I know, get a life right?!) and 2. that subway now has atkins wraps! This is probably old news to most but new news to me and I'm excited.

Working in retail I know that this is an extreme step forward for the low carb world because of retailers copycating each other. Pretty soon Micky D's will offer atkins approved meals. Yay, no more hamburgers no buns!!

any feedback??

p.s. Happy New Year

oops, never mind. Haven't been on in a while and scrolled down and read some posts about the wraps. I'm disappointed to hear there not all that.

I thought the wraps were really good. You have to try them for yourself. You can't go by what others say. My mom thought it wouldve been better with mayo instead of ranch. I liked it just the way it was. Next time I will try to get them to use more veggies though.
My appetite is way down from where it used to be and the wrap was just enough for me. I am sure someone who needs more calories would need more food. But the weight I am it was perfect. Hope I make sense.

I just saw a commercial for subway atkins wraps and they said only 8 net carbs! Which is it? 11 or 8?

I havent had the wraps yet, but I did go to Fridays yesterday. I had the steak w/blue cheese dressing and broccoli. Only 6 carbs and it was very good!

Steph...there are two wraps that Subway has to offer. One is the chicken bacon ranch which has 8 grams of carbs and the other is turkey Bacon which has 11 grams.

Also, they will turn ANY of their sandwiches into a low-carb wrap for like 60 cents more. Just ask for your regular favorite sub on a low-carb tortilla.

Default this is great news.

Hillary,

It's good to know they offer the lc tortilla. This just gives me another fast food choice I can order for lunch on the days I don't bring a lunch. I usually just grab jr. bacon cheeseburges from wendy's with a ceasar side salad (I usually eat the same thing for take-out because I can't be bothered to research diff. fast food joints so this is great news for me).

I think I'll try one today!

Actually, I'm kind of doing induction again to get back on track, will a wrap be ok or should I wait until after induction?
Tasha
