Default Fitday.com is a revelation !!!

I have actually found the fitday.com site and have found this a revelation!!!! I have not had THAT much to eat so I thought I would see what all the ravings about fitday was about. I put in my food intake for the day and I had 36 carbs. I couldn't believe it!!!! Apparently the vegetable soup I had at lunch time was 12 carbs and the ½ cup of gravy I had with my tea had 13 carbs. I will sure know to steer clear of them in future. I am now going to visit fitday.com EVERY day from now on. And I have now learned, BEWARE OF THE HIDDEN CARBS!!!!

Yes it is a great site.

Things that fitday can help you with:
1) Make sure you are getting enough calories for your Basal metabolism rate.
2) Make sure you are getting the vitamins and minerals you need.
3) Make sure you are getting the right amounds of fat/carbs/protein and fiber.
4) Determine how much your exercise is burning in calories.
5) Set goals for weight among other things.
6) Track your progress.
7) Figure out which foods fit best into this way of eating.
8) Even keep a journal there.

I'm sure I'm missing some, but those are the high lights.

Did you know that our site has a similar, although better (IMO ) tool?
If you haven't found it yet, it is called MyPLAN, and can be found in yellow on the green menu bar above the posts.

If you have any questions about it, you can check here: http://forum.lowcarber.org/forumdisplay.php?f=148

Cheers.

Ya reckon? I cooked myself up this chicken-mushroom stuff (my fav!) and am trying to enter in the ingreds (because I make it from scratch, not from a packet). I'm trying to enter in 'chicken'. Just plain old chicken, breasts to be precise. I am currently up to page 9 and still going. I think I'm going to have to enter in the details myself because I'll be giving up soon. It's ridiculous.

I like fitday's weight tracker because it figures out to the 1/100 of how many pounds you need to lose per week in order to reach your goal by a certain date. I think it just helps me put things in perspective and look at the bigger picture of what lc'ing is all about!!
