Default Wheat bread and Pasta

Hello,

I'm new here. I did a search but I could not find any info on what I would like to ask. I have recently started to do a low carb diet and I have heard some people say that eating whole wheat bread and pasta is okay on a low carb diet. Is this true? I know white bread is a no no, I have been told that your body will not take in all cars with whole wheat food. I don't know for sure what true or not. I would hate to be on a diet and think I am doing good and then find out I have been blowing it on something like wheat bread.

I anyone could, please help me. If whole wheat is okay does it have to be hard core whole wheat or will packaged bread from the store do fine?

If whole wheat is okay in how much moderation do you have to have? One serving a day, two servings, no servings?

Thanks for any help in getting me started out.

It really depends on which diet plan you chose to follow.

On Dr Atkin's diet, it's not okay.

Hello Carb man!

There are a few different types of low-carb ways of eating. The Paleo approach - which is hard core purist - to Somersizing and the Schwarzbei n Principle that are more lenient.

Have a look to the right of the page for a quick overview of the plans in "Which low-carb plan is right for me?" to find one that suits you.

Thanks for the posts.

Is there any way of telling the most effective plans. Or if fits you best then that is what will take the most weight off?

They are all successful when followed properly - which one is best for you is something you have to decide by reading the outlines and taking a look at the menus. Atkins and Protein Power tend to deliver quicker results, as first, because they are more restrictive carb wise. However, if you are unable to stick to them because they are so much more restrictive then they wont work as well for you . Regardless of the initial loss, you will settle down to a slower weekly loss that is more inline with the norm; 2 lbs of FAT a week for women, and 3 lbs a week for men.
