Question Salad Dressing

Hi everyone. My husband and I just started Atkins today and I have a question. On induction can you have salad dressing and miracle whip. I like ranch dressing and it shows it has 1g of sugar. Does this mean that we cannot have this dressing?
Thanks so much.

It has 1 gram per serving. How much is one serving? I would use it as long as I didn't go over the 20g/day. Don't go over the serving size and if possible use less than a serving. Real Miracle Whip should be fine, Light Miracle Whip is bad. Products that are light tend to have more carbs although there are some products that will say "light" and actually have fewer carbs. I prefer real mayonnaise and you may find some ranch dressing that has no sugar added. Orrrrr make your own ranch dressing.

Most salad dressings have a little sugar - Ranch is fine to have, just count the carbs - try blue cheese dressing too. Make sure when you have mayo, it is full fat, like Hellmans, I'd check the count on Miracle Whip, I thought that was very carby. Since you're just starting today, may I suggest that you use fitday.com to keep track of your foods, it's a great tool to keep you on track. Good luck.
