Smile Newbie to Schwarzbein Principle

Hi All -

I'm new to this forum and new to the SP low-carb diet. I've tried Atkins, but never lost much weight and didn't feel good on it. I felt TOTALLY deprived of carbohydrates - and I especially need some carbs to trigger serentonin - as I suffer from panic disorder. Anyone out there with similiar situation?

Either way, I'm excited about my new lifestyle change. I have 5 pounds baby weight to go - but probably got pregnant with an extra 10 pounds on me.

Anyone have any idea how soon I can expect to loose weight?

Thanks and looking forward to chatting in the future.

Jen10

Hi Jen!

Welcome to the site. There is a Schwarzbein Principle discussion group as well as a place to discuss mental health issues here and you may want to check them both out!

As for weight loss...it will depend on your body. Normally, weight loss slows the closer you get to your goal weight. Having just had a baby may also mean that your goal weight is not longer as low as your pre-pregnancy weight. According to SP your weight will settle in at its ideal level - which really depends on your activity level as well.

Good luck!

Lisa
