Question Restart after 8+ years

I have read that it is more difficult to lose on Atkins a second time. I wish I had the understanding of all the elements of this WOE when I embarked 8 years ago, did well, and then didn't follow through. I'd love to hear from anyone who is having success under similar circumstances.
I love this site.

I'm not under the same circumstances but welcome to lowcarb.ca nancy!

I would like to think that eight years is enough of a break to let you be successful again with this WOL.

It is a great site. Our webmaster is a genius.

Just keep reading and posting and checking out all the features this site has to offer. Knowledge is only a mouse click away!

With each new restart I have learned that my headaches last longer breaking back into ketosis. At the begining of restart the weight seemed slower to come off, but eventually kicked in. I have fell off the wagon a few times and this has been MY experience and may not apply to others. But I agree with Karen that after 8 years your body should be a blank page to the diet.

I think eache time we go back to a diet, our rate of loss will slow down a bit, regardless of the diet plan. For one reason, we're older the next time, and metabolism naturally slows with age.

That's one reason to choose a plan you can live on, even after you reach your goal.
