I asked that question before and I was told to count the net carbs, because those are the carbs that afect your blood sugar (insulin) levels. I think that you're in induction and that most of your carbs should come from natural foods ie. cheese, veggies, meats, eggs, seafood, fats and oils. This insures that you can easily count your carb intake and aren't eating too many carbs, and you can eat more of them. Enjoy that BBQ season!
