Default bfl and low carbing question

I'm in C2W8 and my husband is strating to low carb tomorrow. I though I might try it with him, but I'm not sure how low to go with my carbs. Since I follow BFL, should I go with ProteinPower and adjust my carbs to about 40 grams? Thanks for any help putting these two programs together.

If you look at the top of this forum, there's a sticky "BFL and LC". Lots of great info/tips in there on how to incorporate the two.

That being said, PamBarn, I think Protein Power and 40g of carbs would probably work great.

You may find 40g a day a bit low on those lift days. Cardio days and 40g will work well. After about the 2nd week or so on BFL you may start to feel yourself fatiguing pretty fast while going through your routines.

If this is the case, up your carbs around your lift workouts. Best solution is to eat something "carby" 45 mins before you lift and afterwards eat something carby to help muscle recovery.

What is "carby"? Apple with peanut butter, protein/energy bar, steel cut oatmeal. Pick a low GI type of carb.

Good luck to you!
