Default Dumb question

I don't mean to ask a dumb question but what is the difference between baby squash zucchini (0.496) and summer squash zucchini (7.07). According to fit day there is a big carb difference but I have no clue what the difference is. Help....I had squash for dinner but I don't know which of the two it is now.

Thanks in advance.

Default Ok i looked at fitday

the listing for the baby zuccini squash is for 1 baby squash only like 3.3 cals

I think if you had just zuccini that is regular, frozen or fresh they are about 5-6 inches long. I would use the fitday summer squash zuccini that is 3.54 carbs and 1.26 fiber per half cup or 7.07 carbs and 2.52 fiber per whole cup so thats only 2.28 ECC per 1/2 cup and 4.56 per whole cup ECC not bad

I agree with Rebecca. Most likely you had the regular zucchini. I love that stuff.

baby zuccini squash is just that - baby squash. It is picked when it is ~ 3 inches long. Now most zuccini in stores is ~ 6 - 9 inches long. So that is where the big difference comes in.

You don't see the babies in the store very often - it's more of a gourmet thing.

Default Summer squ and zuchinini

Hey,

Summer squash is the yellow squash that's usually in mixed veggies...zuchini is the green outsides.
