Default chicken wings

Can I eat wings on the Atkins program as long as they are not breaded?

Yes, you can have them and I usually fry them up and dip them in the usual homemade buffalo sauce of butter and Hot sauce, very good. If you like the heat, more sauce....if you like them mild, more butter(it curbs the heat).

Wings are a staple at my house. Unfortunately I cant eat them as often as I like because my body doesn't like me to eat such high calorie meals that often. So beware.

Greg,
Buffalo wings has become a constant in my daily menu. I have them atleast 3-4 times a week. Pretty much anytime I go out I have wings, salad and a dinner meat with veggies. It has not bothered my weight loss at all.

Oh what a joy. Of course you have to check them out and see how you can handle them.

Cody

I make my own most of the time.. but if on a day that I have no time, I just stop at our local Safeway and they have in teh Deli Dept. ready to eat wings.. Just be ware, they have 2 types, Spicy, and teriyaki.. that teriyaki are high in carbs.. The spicy however are yummy, expensive, but yummy..

I always buy big bags of frozen wing sections (4 pounds) whenever they are on sale so that I have them on hand (along with a BIG bottle of Franks hot sauce) whenever the mood strikes. They can be a bit time consuming to make because I don't have a big deep fryer and do them in batches in my cast iron skillet on the stove, so I usually only wind up eating them once every month or two, but they are worth the effort! Hmmm...maybe this weekend.....

if you like them crispy and dont want to take forever to cook, i put mine in the oven frozen for about 2 hours on 250 degrees, and then fry them. they come out real crispy and super super good. enjoy

I do mine, depending on quantity for one hour at 350 deg in oven and they get crispy enough for me. I just leave them longer if they aren't crispy enough and it's a lot easier than deep frying.I put foil lining in the pan and there's even easy cleanup.

Gosh, I practically live on wings sometimes, when I go out to lunch fairly often. They are hard to mess up, I guess.
When I have them at home, I put the blue cheese on shredded cabbage for blue cheese coleslaw...so I like them a lot.
If they turn out to work for you, go to town.

I love chicken wings also. I cook mine on the grill. I lighty coat them in olive oil and season them with some garlic powder and Old Bay seasoning. Grill them up and then toss them in Frank's hot sauce/butter. They are awesome! I always prefer things cooked on the grill whenever possible.
