Default Hello from Sweden - the land of plenty

Hiya all!
Been lurking for a little while, but might as well say hello.

Been on Atkins for two weeks, still doing induction. Lost 5 kgs (11lbs) the first week and didn't believe my eyes. Lost another 1.5 kgs (3.3lbs) week two, which was less than I expected from the wonderful results of week one. Nevertheless, hanging in there and will start a journal. I'm one of the lucky ones I guess, with not that much excess overweight, so I figure I'll reach my goal pretty soon... err... maybe... or maybe not...

The good thing so far is I've started enjoy cooking again (haven't eaten red meat for years and was quite fed-up with my standard chicken/veggy casseroles) but found fantastic recipes googling for "lowcarb". Ah, those roasts...

Bad thing is that my energy level is dipping down.

Anyroad, thanks for a great forum!
And fitday.com is my new best friend.

Cheers!

/Gilibel

Welcome!

Keep in mind the body will take time to adjust after the initial loss and you may not see results as quickly as you did the first week. There is also the fact that you are near your goal weight and the pounds (kilograms!) will come off slower for you because of that as well.

Congrats on your success so far!

Yes, many people get excited at the initial quick loss and assume they will be to their goal weight in half an hour! Unfortunately this is not so! One must be patient - your body will lose slowly but surely and that is the best way to go.

HI Gilibel...Welcome to the group! Isn't great to eat red meat??? I love it! And with this way of eating I don't feel guilty at all.
Once your body gets use to this way of eating you will get your engery back.

Keep it up and you will be at your goal in no time.
