Default Lots of things right now

When I first started Atkins there was a lot of things wrong with me. First I was overweight ( still am overweight but working on it ) and suffered from severe depression and episodes of panic and anxiety. Taking many medications such as Zantacs, Risperdol, Zoloft and ambien to sleep. I now take nothing. No sleeping pills, no anti anxiety or anything like that.. no longer depressed and feel great when I wake up.

So not only is atkins making me slimmer.. but its also saving me lots of money by not going to the dr. not buying perscriptions and such. And making me healthy and got me to feel better about life

I guess i just wanted to say that Atkins helps with a lot more than just losing weight!

Before starting this WOL I was depressed all of the time and had a hard time sleeping, too. I was probably clinically depressed, but was never diagnosed. I was so tired all of the time and generally had a "woe is me" attitude. I had ailments every other day (backaches, headaches, muscle pains, and general "icky feeling"). Now I experience NONE of this. I wake up (after only 7 hours of sleep, mind you) feeling like I want to DO something instead of just laying on the couch with the possibility of a nap. I'm up and out of my house 5 minutes after breakfast working in the yard or swimming in the pool. Some days my energy is just more than my poor body can handle. LOL. I'm wearing my kids out with the cleaning and yardwork. I could never have imagined how GREAT it feels to tell an 8 year old to "Hurry up slowpoke!!".

Yep, I stopped taking my anxiety meds soon after starting LCing and I am doing great! I have not had a panic attack yet or felt one coming on.

I didn't do it intentionally, I just forgot for a few days, then when I realized it, it occured to me that I didn't feel "insane" with out the meds anymore, so I just never started up again.
