Hidden Carb Calculation Help Needed
I have used an online calculator (given below) to find "Hidden Carbs" using the following numbers:
Calories 110
Protein 18
Carbs 6
Fat 2
Dietary Fiber 3
It tells me the carb count is 5 grams per serving.
My dilema is that when I do it manually I come up with 7 grams. The formula that I use is (number is parens are calculated on the above grams):
Fat grams x 9 (18)
Carb (24) and protein (72) grams x 4
Add them together (114) and subtract listed calories (110)
and come up with the hidden carbs (4). Divide the hidden carbs by
4 (1) and add this to the listed carbs (6) to get the true carb count per serving (7).
Is my manual formula incorrect? Should I subtract the Dietary Fiber from Final Carb Count to get the Effective Carb Count? I appreciate your assistance in this very much since I calculate my carb count for the day down the 1/2 gram.
