Peanuts are actually legumes not nuts, and are not allowed during induction. They are added back much later than nuts in OWL; near the end of it if I remember correctly.

I do believe induction allows 3Tbs of heavy whipping cream a day, and mayo is completely allowed, so cream and mayo should both be ok though as long as you don't over do them.

Some brands of peanut butter are loaded with carbs, and even the ones that aren't could be the culprit. Try giving it up for a week, and see what happens!

spin...Hi...You might want to start a journal and post what you are eating every day...This way we can help you determine if you are doing something wrong...

I know years ago when I tried atkins before, I never lost...well, I was doing everything wrong...I though I could eat all the nuts I want...all the peanut butter scoops i want...and we can't....Ocasionaly when I have a craving for something I will eat a tablespoon of peanut butter...but I don't do this often, and not every day...I remember eating tons of pistachios...a whole bag..wondering why I couldn't loose...At the end of the first month on atkins, you should have lost on an average of around 16 lbs..I think...I lost 18...however, I do have more to loose than you...I started alot higher....This is really not a starvation diet...this is a way of life for the rest of our life...Dont get discouraged...we'll help you figure out what your doing wrong...and maybe you might re-read the book...I am in a stall, and gained weight this week of vacation...Ugh...Gotta watch imy intake of carbs....you might want to use this web site www.fitday.com Alot of us have used this to help with our eating plan...Just list everything that you eat a day...and please start a journal...The journal is the one thing that has helped me most....good luck...trisha
