Looking for Mr. Good LC Bar!
As you can see I've lost a lot of weight, but I have to say the bars haven't helped a whole lot. As I have researched and learned more about them, I've learned to stay away from them. For my body, ALL CARBS BUT FIBER ARE IMPACT CARBS.
I am a Long Distance Runner, but I stay in Ketosis most of the time. I am up to running 30 miles a week, and so far I have enough energy to maintain my mileage build-up. My diet mainstay is HB eggs, plain dehydrated jerky, and salads. If I crave carbs, it's a glycogen issue and I rebound quickly from post-run loading, as I cycle through my running.
I'm still looking for the ultimate bar; I don't believe there are any truly low-carb bars yet. I love the taste and convenience of bars, so I am always looking, and haven't given up yet! 14 grams of carb is about the lowest Atkins bar I have seen. I'm closely monitoring this thread if anyone knows a truly LC bar!
Criteria: 2 or 3 grams TOTAL carbs after subtracting fiber
