Default Jello Pudding Fat Free with Aspartame?

I just found Jello instant pudding -fat free- sweetened with aspartame. The nutritioonal information says 7.8 grams carbs "as sold" which I assume is the whole package. My question is can you make it with cream and would it be a legal snack? My instincts say yes in moderation. I would like the opinion of more experienced LCers. Thanks for any replies.

Dianne

Well, Dr. Atkins says to stay away from aspartame. That being said, I make it everyonce in awhile for a snack. For the liquid, I do half cream and half water. It is much better the next day. Not sure that I would eat it when on induction as one of the reasons behind induction is to get away from the cravings for sweets and the pudding can trigger cravings. The first time I made it I used cream for all of the liquid and it came out very thick and didn't taste all that great. I've heard some people say they make it using Soy Milk.
