Hello Nuts4 tim & welcome to the board. I guess you are dealing with the big snowfall today. I hope the tim you are nuts four, is not Tim Horton (a Canadian donut chain).
You know, you can still cook pasta & have bread for the DH - if you can keep from eating it. And it only means that you buy a little more meat than usual for you, and fill up on it instead of the pasta. I was delighted that LC did not depend on cottage cheese because I hate it. And it is rather high in carbs, compared to Cheddar or eggs or beef or chicken. Instead, I can have meat & green beans with butter!
It's amazing how you soon won't miss bread, pasta, etc. And you will be less hungry eating LC. And you won't get that desperate, quivery need to eat. And you won't eat as much food as when most of it was carbs. Not to mention that your blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides etc will get better (even if they were pretty normal to begin with).
And you will enjoy eating good food while losing the weight. The first weeks are the hardest but the results are the fastest during them. In week 3, you might stand still or only lose another pound, so be prepared.
This way of eating is a CHEMICAL change in how your body operates, so trying to sneak in 'just one bite' will put you RIGHT OFF & you might not lose. Be determined to stick with the plan for the whole 2 weeks and you could be amazed at the results.
be sure to read the "stickies" at the top of this forum and the Newbies Questions forum.
All the best.
