Question A couple of Wierd Water Questions?

I have a couple of water questions....Who ever thought water could be such a hot topic!!

First of all when drinking water for the day I drink between 4-5 liters of water. I do try to get them all in the morning because to be honest from drinking hardly any water to drinking so much water a day I just want to get it out of the way!! Is it better to spread it out over the day because trying to do that I dont seem to be able to get as much drank? Does it have an effect for the rest of my day not having as much over the whole day??

Next do you all prefer bottled water bought from the store or tap water?? Sometimes I get a little worried about drinking so much tap water that there may be problems down the road a few times in the past we have had to boil water because of yukkies in our drinking system.

Just a couple of things I have been curious about!!

Oh one more thing I here alot of you talk about metal mouth I dont have a distinct metal taste in my mouth just at the back of my mouth I have a sweet tasting sensation??? I know this is from atkins because I have never had it before. Have any of you had that or is that considered metal taste??

Thanks all you are great!! Everyone have a super low carb day!!

It is better to spread it out over the day. Too much water at one time *can* be bad for your kidneys, but more important than that is that drinking it throughout the day is better to boost its benefits.

I prefer tap water (I have a well). I don't usually drink bottled water.

I don't have a metal taste, either; mine is a distinct taste I really can't explain.

I read that you need to keep drinking to flush the ketones from your kidneys. I may be wrong about that, but it does seem then that it would be better for you to spread it out.

I drink tap water usually but occasionally drink bottled water when I'm away from home/work. I wouldn't worry too much about it, though. Bottled water isn't completely pure, either.

Everyday I Bring A Gallon Jug To The Gym With Me - I Fill It Up Out Of Their Water Fountains - I Think They Have Pretty Good Filters Cuz It Tastes Like Bottled Water.

Most systems of tap water have water that is of equal quality to bottled water. I think the issue for people is more the taste, than the actual nutritional quality. I could be wrong though.

I would think that it's better to spread the water out, but that's more a common sense guess. Your body constantly needs water, not one big FLUSH. Right? Maybe a water expert will drop by.

Just my two cents... if only worth a ha-penny.

I bought one of those Purex filters and put in on my tap. ANd I use the water fountain at work. I try to do half of my water before lunch then half before I leave work (total of 3 L). I stop drinking it at about 8 pm or else I go to the bathroom all night!

I try and get a lot in the AM, then tote a bottle around all day. i have a little after dinner, but not too much cause i dont like waking up to go pee three times a night. but i just picture the water pulling all the fat (ketones) out of my body and it magically tastes so much better.

I spread it out fairly evenly, but get a bit more between 9 and 5 while I'm at my desk. I use a Brita filter pitcher at home. At the office it's also filtered. I don't buy bottled, too expensive IMO

It is better to spread your consumption out over the day. I notice that if I drink a large glass first thing in the morning, I want more water throughout the day. If I miss that 1st glass before I go to work, I tend to forget to drink all day long. Weird, but it's just something I've noticed.

At home I drink tap water. We have great tasting water where I live.
At work I have the luxury of a water cooler.

Keep hydrating!

I have a glass when I get up in the morning, then I get as much in as I can with breakfast and lunch, then I have another one before bedtime.

I've found that just a plain ole Brita water filter pitcher does a lot to take the yucky taste out of city tap water.

resha - I bow to your water consuption powers. I thought my three litres a day was impressive but four to five is alot. I agree with most everyone about spacing it out. I drink tap water filtered through our Brita Picture. I drink one litre before each meal.

best regard & success
