Default Nitrate free meat?

I cannot find nitrate free bacon or any packaged meat at my grocery store. Any suggestions on where I can go to buy it?

Natalie

It is VERY hard to find bacon etc without nitrites. Some people have succeeded by trying small independent or family run butcher shops - the old fashioned kind. Or stores that stock organic produce. Ask in your local health food store.

And prepare to give your first born for a pound of that stuff. If the nitrates in bacon don't kill you, the nitrates in the vegetables will... Im not gonna sweat it. I'll invest all the money I save buying regular meat, and go to the equator
