Question stomach cramps

Hello i am in the 7th day of my induction. I have been having stomach cramps all day long off and on every time i eat even inbetween. I also had a case of the bathroom explosives also. Is this normal? sorry to sound uncuth with my words.. But these cramps hurt bad when i eat. Help!
My ketones have come down to medium to lower side of high is that good? I read somewhere that it is good to be medium to sorta high but not extremely high.
thanks alot

Tammy

hi Tammy,

Sorry you're not feeling well. Some folks do experience an upset in digestion and intestinal function during Induction, especially if you've been used to eating a highly refined, processed, carby diet. Often folks get constipated, but some do experience more gas and diarrhea. It's transient, and it will go away as your body adjusts. Sometimes just the de-toxing process of clearing out excess carbs can have an upsetting effect. If you click on Low Carb Tips, from the orange menu bar at the top, you'll see Low Carbing and Intestinal Health. You'll find some info. and suggestions how to cope.

While you're there, you'll see right below that article, one about Ketosis and Ketone Test Strips. That should answer your questions about how light or dark the sticks should be, and whether or not it means better weight loss

I am glad that you asked this question as that is what I am going through. I have a stomach ache and go to the washroom all the time. Very uncomfortable. I thought something was wrong with me. Though I had thought I was low carbing I had not been (after joining Fitday) so I guess I am having withdrawels to!

Good luck I know what you are feeling

Cath
