I was wrong...veggies DO matter :)
Okay, as ya'll know due to my numerous posts speaking of how I have lost well despite not eating veggies, I am posting to admit that I was wrong....lol.
I lost the first 50 lbs. easily without consuming many vegetables except for the first couple of weeks I was doing Atkins. Slowly I stopped eating them at all and over the past month to two months, my loss has gradually slowed down a lot! I know this is normal, and I can't say I really hit a stall (I had two cheat periods over this past month, so THAT is likely the reason it was slow) but it had slowed a lot even before my 2 notorious 4 day cheats.
Fast forward to this week. I started strict induction over again on Monday and have been "punishing" myself by eating a salad every day for lunch to get some veggies in. This morning when I weighed, I was down 2.5 lbs. despite TOM showing up (again two weeks early presumably because of my cheat...as happened that last time I did it)!!!! I am attributing it to adding veggies back in.
Anyway...for those who don't do the veggies and have slowed down, try adding them back in for a week or two and see what happens. I always knew you guys were right, but hated to admit it...lol.
