Default Birthday disaster!

I was bombarded by cakes! It is hard to say no when people think your WOE is silly. Hard to be assertive with people have good intentions. So you eat the cursery piece of cake at the office. You eat another piece because your good friend insists one piece won't hurt and you know she will be devestated if you don't eat some along with the sherbert because it is less calories. Now I feel gross and have to go back to induction. Just needed to vent. I do pretty well 99% of the time. Most people don't know I am on a low carb diet because I live in the meat, potato and gravy belt (ha ha) small town. They make lots of comments about these diets (not good) I just try to do my thing. So back to the food that doesn't make me feel gross. Thanks for who ever listens.

I've been in that situation too. I've looked them straight in the eye and said "Yes, it will hurt." They got the message.

What people don't seem to understand with this WOL is that many, many people - including they that do not understand - are addicted to carbohydrates. Would these same people say to an alcoholic "Just a little drink. It won't hurt you."?

Hide all the sugar for coffee in the office one day. Do it just for grins and see what happens.

I've found that what helps is to maintain that you are improving your health. You are losing weight too, but overall health and letting people know about it should be the overall goal.

You're right. It does suck when it happens!
