Low Carbing longer than one week
Just wondering what people's experience was to low carbing for extended periods, over a week.
Personally, I've done 3 week low carb periods 3 times, with very good results.
Although 3 weeks, personally, is a bit on the longer side, I think what is optimal for me is 2.5 weeks. Granted I have lost a great deal of fat as evidenced by my lack of strength declines, better appearance and smaller clothing. Mind you, I have done it this way, because I find that during a longer period, I have to do very little calorie/carb/protein counting, both on low carb days and on carb load days. So far I have lost a total of 40lbs, and 6 inches off my waist.
Has anybody had similiar experiences?
Can this permanently damage my thyroid?
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
