Default Plateaus...got any secrets?

I have been doing the Atkins diet for about 3 1/2 months and had one plateau so far. When I hit that plateau someone suggested that I add Co-enzymes (Q-10) and L-Carnitine to my daily supplements....that quickly got me over my plateau...

Now I am wondering if you all have any other pointers for us newbies that hit plateaus...any help would be appreciated

Hugs,
Valerie***

We have a whole forum for plateaus (or plateaux, if you're French). Just click here to go to our Tips and Stalls Forum.

Another thing to consider: although we in our minds would like losing to be just a straight line downward, our body may have different rules, laws and requirements that we just don't know about.

So if you don't lose for a week, a month or even three months, you may just have to put up with it. Use the time to stay with your low carb plan and really learn how to do it well. You can enjoy the difference you have already made in your wieght, your appearance, your feelings of accomplishment and above all, YOUR HEALTH.

When your body is good and ready, it will resume losing. Yes, you can try various supplements and changes in what you eat, or go back to a slightly lower carb level or add different or more exercise, but also be prepared to let your body make the needed adjustments to the huge loss you have already done.
