Question Atkins Protein Bars on Induction?

Hello,

I tried searching the forums for the answe to this question, but was unable to find anything.. i'm not sure if the search function is working, since ANYTHING i search for results in zero results LOL..

Anyway, I am going to start induction soon, and was wondering if we are able to have the Atkins protein bars during this phase? I was reading the new Atkins book (the one with the white cover and blue text) and there was no mention of this... anyone have any advise?

thanks!

elyssa

Atkins Advantage bars are OK for induction, although most around here have had an issue with losing while eating them. (Glycerin stalls some people.)

Atkins Endulge products contain sugar alcohols, and should be avoided, at least while on induction, if not as much as you can.

I agree with the above people have tried the bars but have stalled weight loss, try to do the induction without them and see how you get on!!
good luck

They're not on the acceptable foods list, and they're mentioned in the book as only being an "emergency" food. Try to avoid them when you can. Stick to the real stuff and you'll get better results. Best of luck! Keep us posted!

Post whole foods

I agree with kristine... induction means sticking to the letter of the law. even though some bars are LC, they're really meant for later on in your LC WOE and not during induction. get what you can from real, whole foods and you'll do much better to start.

Good luck.
