We're back from "Bandwidth Limit Exceeded"

Hi folks,

You may have received a 509 error in the last hour and a half saying:

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.

Well this is not really a technical problem, it's more like bad planning

We're now back and fixed our limit, so this should not happen again.

What actually happened?

What do we do with that pngpng software that I downloaded that gives a path tracing from here to LC Forum?

This error simply means our server has had more traffic than was allocated to it. Now we've doubled our capacity, and should last us for a few more months of growth. I just didn't anticipate this rapid growth, and I'm quite thrilled!

For this particular problem, the tool wouldn't be useful, since the server was up and running without any technical / network problems. When there is a problem like "host not found" the tool will point out where in the network the problems occure. Here's more details on the tool:
