Default Cravings!

OK, I know it is normal for me to have cravings of the high carb stuff. But I feel as though I am going to absolutely CAVE in any minute now. It had not bothered me up until today about 2 hours ago. Went to the freezer, saw my garlic bread. UGH! Saw my Pasta in the pantry! UGH! HELP! I am making Karen's slightly Italian Meatloaf for dinner tonight. Meatloaf is one of my favorite meals, although I usually eat it with Potatoes. When will these cravings go away! I am going to cave soon!

Don't cave.

Remind yourself that if you give in this one time......you will have to go throughthis all again. It's almost over with! Hang in there.

Instead of the mashed potatos cook up some cauliflower and mash those as you would have mashed potatoes up. They make a wonderful substitue for taters.

I've read before in Dr. Perrone's book that if you are hungry, eat more fat. I think Dr. Atkin's also said something similar. When I crave carbs, I eat half an avocado and some sugarfree jello with whipped cream. They go away soon enough. Some here like to snack on pork rinds. This also helps.

Hee, I did that last week as well. but i have three small boys so there is always some mac n cheese, pasta, brownies, etc... ready to eat for them. I cannot deny them their favorite foods because I am overweight. Tonight they got Lasagne for dinner.
