HELLO EVERYONE...LURKER COMING OUT OF THE WOODWORK!!!
Hello everyone..I've been lurking here for over a year now. I'm one of those people who has a copy of every diet book to hit a bookstore shelf, can tell anyone what they need to do to lose weight, but just can't seem to practice what I preach!!
Went to the Dr for my yearly check up..my cholesterol is 254...my triglycerides are 310, and I'm tipping the scales at 285!!
After all the instruction I have given out in my lifetime, I'm now asking for some help..I'm one of those people who needs to see what it is that I need to eat every day. Is there a section here on the board that does that? I know what is in the book..(I'm doing a combo of GO-DIET & ATKINS) I guess I should follow one or the other until I get going on a steady pace, but you're looking at the CARB QUEEN of the SOUTH!!!
I have started going to the gym two times a week, and sometimes we make it three times.. I've been using the treamill and the different cycles for a total of about 45 minutes and then I'm pretty tired..my Dr told me to only go until I'm tired and not to push or I wouldn't want to go back and do more. SO the exercise part is not a problem...I have a buddy that goes with me and knowing that I have to meet her at a certain time pushes me out the door after work..
I'm looking forward to the support that I have seen on this board. Tomorrow is my official start date, and please feel free to kick my butt if I need it!
