Default Starting over but new to the board

I don't know how to use this chat board but here goes. I lost 20 lbs on the ATkins in 5 months then went off the diet. My Doctor wants me to stay on induction until I lose another 35 lbs because I am a diabetic and have asthma as well. He wants to get me off all the medication I am on.

But I am a carb junkie living with an otherwise wonderful husband who is the perfect weight although an active carb junkie. I am bored with the Atkins diet, hate to cook, but seeking motivation to get back on induction and stick with it. Glad I found this board. Thank you all just for being there. I welcome any advice and encouragement.

Isn't it great that your doctor recommends a low carb food plan? Most people have to mumble their way through a doctors appt not confessing to doing Atkins. He/she thinks it will help with asthma meds-wow

I never cooked much but now I've taken to making muffins from the recipe board or trying out something I hear about in someone's journal that sounds tasty. Good luck on your journey and stick around the boards they can be a lot of help.

Rainopal,
Welcome! from one newbie to another. I think its great that you are learning to post! My doctor also recommended the eating plan to me. When I questioned him about it (I was surprised) he told me that it was only recently that he could actually recommend it because the final research was in. I see our weight and goal is similar. If you start a journal we can exchange some ideas and give each other support.
