Thumbs up Mr Hero!!!

Yesterday I had to drive over 500 miles. I stopped at Dairy Mart for water, and to see is there was anyting safe for me to eat. They were out of cheese sticks and I did not want a jerky.

But they had a Mr. Hero's!! I asked if they could make me a Roman Burger with no sauce and without the bun. They did a great job!! They put it in a to-go container on a wonderful bed of lettus (iceberg - oh well). It tasted marvolus!!!

I always have been nervous to ask to have food modified from the menu. But I will be doing this more ofter now!!

Good for you. If more people asked for what they really wanted, those choices would start appearing on the menus. Meanwhile, never assume that it isn't available if it isn't listed. Restaurants exist to serve people...but a few need to be reminded of that from time to time!

Good going, fishburg. I've noticed that so many people are eating low-carb now that food servers know how to make these modifications. Recently I ordered a sandwich "without the roll"--and without mising a beat, the counter woman made me a fantastic turkey and cheese with tomato and avocado, wrapped up beautifully in a gigantic romaine leaf.
