Talking new- introduction

Hi everyone,

I just found the forum today and decided to join. I used to be active on the phentermine forum while I was taking phen, but the meds are too pricey and the effects did not last for me.

At christmas my grandmother gave me a scale that went up to 350 pounds and I was astounded to see I had hit 295! I hid the fact from everyone until March when I started the Atkins plan by reading Atkins for Life and doing research on the web. My husband was at 330 and he joined me. We have a friend who has lost alot of weight on Atkins, so we decided to take the chance. I could not feel any worse.

I have found the plan fairly easy to follow and rarely feel deprived.

My husband and I own a photography studio that we are working to establish as our full time occupation. Until then I also work as a stained glass craftsman. We do not have any children, but we do have 3 cats and 2 draft horses. I hope that as I lose weight we may be able to start a family. I have not been diagnosed with infertility (We have no insurance), but I suspect my weight affected my hormones and caused problems.

Well, I hope I get to know everyone here soon.

Welcome!
This is such a great forum! I just know that you will find what you need here and if you have any questions that they will be answered. When you have a few minutes start a Journal at the Journal site so that you have a place where you can log your progress and where we can all visit you. Starting a FitDay account is also handy. You can log what you eat there and set it up so that we can visit also and it's free. This is a tremendous help because if you get stuck we can help by going over your menu's to see if you are missing something.
FitDay is at: http://www.fitday.com/
Have a wonderful 4th!
Signey
