Default Chicken Wings

Hi everyone

I have a question about chicken wings.

I have seen on the board many people talking about going out for dinner and eating chicken wings or buying them at the grocery store.

How do you eat them when you’re out at restaurants if you’re not allowed bbq sauce and they always come with that on them?

Also, when you make your own at home what do you put on them for a sauce or how do you cook them?

Thanks so much!

I have my chicken wings just seasoned without any added sauces. I request them at the restaurant to have no sauce and at home I make them with a cajun seasoning my father in law put together and grill them or bake them, they are very delicious. I am sure if you go through the recipe section you will find something for a low carb sauce if you want to have them with the sauce.

Actually, The whole chicken-wing "thing" is designed to build stronger and meatier Legs and thighs in the chickens!

I have often thought of becomming a chicken surgeon. They must make a FORTUNE removing all those wings from ALL those chickens!

Anyway...enough about "me"...

Wings: I eat em PLAIN or with some Franks Red Hot sauce with butter...zero carbs! Never had em "out"....not with STEAK on the menu!

Best wishes;
HJ

A lot of hot sauces (Tabasco, for instance) contain very little carbs. I buy frozen wings, deep-fry them until cooked, and toss with a bottle of low-carb hot sauce. Very easy!

Alot of restaurants serve chicken wings in hot souce instead of bbq sauce. I found a seasoning that comes with a baking bag that you just toss everything in and bake in the oven. I cant remember what its called but it sells at most grocery stores.

I buy them frozen, dip them in melted butter and then roll them in a mix of crushed pork rinds, parm cheese, pepper and garlic powder. Bake at 425 for 40 minutes. YUMMY!
Enjoy!!

Two of my favorite restaurants serve them with no breading and plain straight hot sauce. Not for the timid beleive me, but sooo good.

If you're in a place that also offers salads, try asking them to substitute blue cheese dressing for the standard dip...they'll look at you funny, but they'll figure their tip probably depends on their not laughing out loud. It's worth an odd look or two...and it tastes pretty good!

I don't really like ultra-spicy wings, so I've been doing mine in the oven at home.

I toss my wings with a little olive oil, some cajun spice, salt and pepper, and a little shake of splenda (sounds weird, but it gives a slightly BBQ taste when mixed with the cajun spice, and also helps the wings get a bit sticky). Bake for about 45 minutes at 375 - voila! Crispy and sticky!

I must eat this 3 times a week!

Love them wings... but I can't seem to get a restaurant around here to do them for me "nekkid" though

Dawn
