Cool Now I feel like I belong.....

New to the forum, but I am glad I found this group..

I had been spending alot of time in the CAD group reading posts, not realizing that there was a group here that perhaps was more my style. I have been working on my journal and some other postings...basically I am a 23yo recent univ graduate that is addicted to carbohydrates and has been my whole life...I've done many many different tricks and ideas to lose weight but the low-carb attempt now seems to be be great..so far

hope to connect with some of you soon!

Welcome Saweetie, I am glad you found us. I remember the feeling the first time I connected with this forum and found so many people with over 100 pounds to lose -- it felt so good to find other people who had similar experiences to me. Even if we are all on different eating plans -- I don't know much about CAD myself -- we still have a lot in common.

Post away, ask questions, and start visiting our journals. There are lots of interesting older threads in the TDC if you start going back through the pages. I skimed through most of them when I first started here and I learned a lot by reading them. I think you will find this to be a very supportive place.

Welcome-there are a few of us that are both triple digit and CAD and we kind of look out for each other. Hope you are enjoying CAD as much as I do. WE have a long way to go, but on CAD I dont' feel deprived and feel full more now that before I started.
I would be great if you started a journal so we could visit back and forth. Mine is in the C-D journal section under Donna's diary.
Nice to see another caddette in the TDC!

Welcome Saweetie,

This is THE place to be

People here are so helpful and encouraging.

I am loving LC, doing Atkins.

Down 14.5 lbs in 12 days.

If I can do it, anyone can. I have no thyroid gland left, take Armour. Take 3 meds that cause weight gain and have been yo-yo dieting all my adult life.

Never thought there was any hope for me except WLS (weight loss surgery) til I started Atkins.

I am going to continue Induction beyond 2 weeks. As long as I can hang on.

Good luck to you

Are you kicked out of the TDC when you reach under 100 pds to your goal??

I was never that uch over 100 pds when I logged into here....but I find the info here more relevant to me...when I cruise through the other boards there are many many people just trying to lose a pesky few pds....I've got a pesky LOTTA pounds...

thanks for any input!

Of course not. But I think that people with more to lose need different kind of supports and have concerns that some of those with less to lose don't. It's easier to talk to with someone that KNOWS what you're going through. Anyway welcome, its great place and feels like home to me!

To answer your question, Saweetie, no, no one gets kicked out of the TDC for having less than 100 pounds to lose. I'm in that category now, and I aint going nowhere!

The Triple Digits Club is a very special nook in the forum for myself and many others, and sharing our experiences is very important. Leaving when one is ready is part of getting healthy and realizing our goals (none of us is doing this so that we can spend more time in front of our 'puters, right?) but no one gets kicked out or turned away...unless they break the forum rules!

Good luck to you!

Donald
