Default TSH question

I went to my doc last week to get my blood work done. I told her I wanted a check on TSH level, as well as T4 and T3, but today the result came back with only a TSH level! GRR!

Anyway, TSH is a 1.03. Is that good? Two months ago it was 2.44. Basing on how I am feeling, I feel good. Sometimes I feel cold, but that's probably due to my weight loss -- less fat, less insulation, more cold, etc. Anyway, physically, I feel good. I sleep well, I am losing weight again. So I'm guessing my thyroid is truly at a normal level?

hi there,

This year, the American Assoc'n of Endocrinologists published new limits to be between 0.6 to 3.0. A low TSH indicates hyperthyroid, and a high TSH indicates hyPOthyroid. So your TSH of 1.03 is within those limits, and has come down from previous.

One note about feeling cold .. are you drinking lots of water? Mild dehydration can cause chills and feeling cold. Just a thought
