Default i'm starting to fall off the wagon

i was doing so well, but within the past week and a half i've been falling off the wagon so to speak. i don't know why but for some reason starting about 1 1/2 weeks ago my appetite zoomed up. (coincided with tom). now that tom is over, it's still up! i don't get this because it just all of a sudden increased dramatically. whereas i used to not snack at all, now i'm constantly hungry. i'm chomping on everything i can. i had one horrible day when i ate a lot of wheat bread with organic jam and some sushi and i can't remember what else, and i have been binging on, of all things, fruit! (kinda sad that i can't even do a real cheat right, instead of binging on candy and cake and sweets, i eat fruit).

the fruit thing has been for the past few days. i love fruit and used to eat a lot of it everyday, so going cold turkey has sucked for me. so i've been eating a lot of fruit. i also have been eating too much sf candy. so....since my last official weigh in day, last wednesday, i have gained 4 pounds! ack! help! my induction menu just isn't satisfying anymore. the variety stinks and instead of being able to grab something like fruit and eat on the run, i have to cook and prepare and god is it a pain in the butt.

anyway, as you may have guessed, there is no real point to this post; i just needed to vent a bit. i don't want to gain back any more weight though; i've worked so hard to get it off! gah!

If you are bored with induction foods and finding it difficult to maintain the WOE, you should move on to OWL. OWL allows fruits, which seems to be one of your biggest complaints. Hopefully moving to OWL and adding more foods in to your menu will help you get back on track.

Smile Try lo-carb specialist food.

Hey,

I know exactly how you feel, I'm constantly hungry all the time too but I've just bought a load of lo-carb food of the net and it's great for snacking on. Waffles, chocolate, toffee's and cheesecake even pork rind crisps (I think you call them chips over there) and they all taste as good if not better than high carb great for snack attack time!!

Stick with it, I'm sure we can do it if we all pull together!!

Lou

Probably you're suffering from a glucose disbalance due to your lately carbs consume. The more you eat the more your body wants and more cravings will come. I would try to cut them all. How about strictly induction for a week or so? So your body re-adjust again...

Get the carbs out of the house if you can. Go back to induction levels for at least 3 days to get your cravings back under control. Make sure you have low carb snacks around at a moments notice. If you are hungry, eat!

I sympathize,

You know, I am in my fourth week of this, and I also used to eat a lot of fruit - I swear I could eat 3-4 plums a day and an orange easily!

And I have been craving it A LOT lately. I figured it was the heat and that I especially assoicate hot summer with cold fruit.

If I wanted to go carb crazy, I would eat an entire watermelon and a bunch of plums. (I just remind myself that will only result in me being in the bathroom for an hour - so I have resisted)

If I can do it, and believe me, I almost jumped ship last week - everyone here saved me - YOU CAN DO IT!

I suggest going back to strict induction to get rid of the sugar flux in your bod, then the cravings will stop

okay, this is really a strange crave, but i've been craving cherry essence prunes with cream cheese! How awful is that? I tried one of the prunes and my gosh they are good! I should never have tried them! (laughing) Sad isn't it?

anyway, I've been staying good the past week and it's really hard, so I'm sympathizing with you tremendously here. Just keep plugging along and and if you "cheat" and least end up knowing you are eating something healthy (fruit) and not something processed (bread). Hope this helps!
