Ephedrine

Hi all! Has anyone tried this? I'm on a low-carb diet, but I need something to give me an energy boost. I took Ephedrine a couple of years ago and lost a lot of weight, but I'm concerned about mixing this with a low-carb diet. Does anyone else take ephedrine before they work out for the energy? I'm going to take the pure form not the fake herbla kind.
