can I use flax seeds when the call for

flax meal,,,I dont have a coffee grinder to crush them and was wanting to make flax muffins tonight,,,,,will it ruin the recipe I wonder,.

do you have a food proc or blender? you prob do want them ground to aid in the texture of what you're making, plus more importantly, if they aren't ground, the body can't benefit at all from their nutrients.

Oh I really didn't know that, why is that? I usually use broken flax seeds isn't that good ?
