help me understand what happens when you have less carbohydrates than required.eg. if for a 3 block meal, the protein and carbohydrate mini blocks are 3 each but i consume only 1 mini block for carbohydrate.

It would be common to experience hunger by pushing insulin levels too low by not consuming enough carbohydrates relative to your protein amount. It is not advised to drop carbs without replacing the caloric deficit with fat.

i know this is a weird question and i dont intend to do this but just want to have a better understanding of how the diet actually works. what will be the effect of this on the insulin levels? know its a stupid question....but was making me wonder so i asked.thanks

No question is stupid, however, your profile does not indicate you have read any of the many books written by the Zone originator, Dr. Barry Sears. Many questions, including those you asked, are answered in his publications.
