Unhappy Is pain normal?

Hey guys I have been on LC for nearly three weeks. I have been developing pain on each side like where the kidney and liver are located. The pain is mild but uncomfortable it feels like something is squeezing or poking my sides. I drink plenty of water nearly 6-8 cups and no soft drinks, tea, or coffee. Just wanted to know if anyone has had these problems................thanks

Take care everyone
H.B.

I have never heard of anyone else having pains like you describe. If I were you, I would go see my doctor. Pain is almost never normal; it is usually the sign of some type of problem.

Hi there HB,

First of all, Liz is absolutely right - you need to see your doctor.

Secondly, you do need to be drinking a lot more water. 8 cups a day is the bare minimum. In fact, some say 64 oz (8 cups) plus another 8 oz/1 cup for every 25 pounds you need to lose.

You see, we lose extra water when we eat low carb. Although for good kidney health, the entire population should be drinking a minimum of 8 cups daily. (I think that's water...)
