Default Tomatoes

Hi,
Can someone tell me if there is a difference in the carb count of raw tomatoes and cooked tomatoes?
According to FitDay, a cooked tomatoes calories, carbs, etc are about 4 times that of a raw tomato. Is this true?
Are there any other vegetables that vary in carbs when cooked?
Thank you.
Simon.

Hi Simon. My guess is that the difference is due to volume changes as they cook. If you start out with a cup of raw tomatoes, that will cook down to much less than a cup. Mushrooms and greens cook down, too. So always measure your veggies raw, and count it that way. HTH.
