Question No weight loss yet on Atkins 2nd week on Induction

Hello, Thank you for this Forum, I found it searching the web for answers.

My Gallbladder was removed 19 years ago - at age 40 and three childern, I have a very difficult time now loosing weight without deprovation. Some of my family have had great success with Atkins and they are low-carb fans.

I have been on Atkins Induction Phase now for 2 1/2 weeks without any weight loss. I feel good and energized. I am commited to sticking with Atkins and hope for long term for success.

Does anyone without their Gallbladder have Slow Weight Loss Success Story to share for inspiration using Atkins?

Thank you

No, but I still wanted to welcome you to the forum. You should start your own journal..this is a good motivational tool and a great place to meet new people and share stories And in my case I whine my lil heart out in mine

It is not unknown for some people not to lose weight in the first few weeks. Often the body first takes the higher protein intake to repair body tissue and muscle. You should start measuring..you may lose inches but can not see it on the scale for now.

I wish you good luck and nice meeting you

I had my galbladder removed in January of 99. I started Atkins on 7/7/03 and lost 8.5 lbs. in the first week. The scale didn't move on week 2 however, my clothes are fitting SO much looser!
