Talking Yipee! Yipee! Yipee!

Got on the scale this AM and it said 124.5 lbs!!!!! Been stalled and hovering up and down at 126 lbs for weeks. Not going to post the new weight in my profile, though, until I see that this is the new number I will be hovering at for more interminable weeks! (LOL)

One great thing about being stalled, though, is that I can still see changes in body shape. My face, arms, legs, waist and even my fingers are leaner than before. Now, if someone has a magic formula to help the pot belly along I would sure appreciate it . . . LOL . . . I know, I know, it comes off when it comes off and it comes off in the weirdest places--not necessarily where we want it to disappear first.

All that said, me and the kidlets are joining a girlfriend for lunch at McDonald's today (groan). Not my fave but I guess I will have a bacon double cheeseburger and a garden salad McWrap without the bun or wrap, of course. No soda, diet or otherwise. Only drink water. I drink about 4-5 litres on a daily basis.

Hey, I also picked up a Corrinne T. Netzer Carbohydrates Dieter's Diary last night. Cost $16 Canadian after taxes. Figured it was worth it for a 16 week log of my daily food intake. Had been toying with keeping a food journal online here at the forum but I like the idea of being able to carry around a small portable diary instead. That way I am more apt to keep track of what I am eating.

Anyway, feel so dang good just wanted to share my good bit of fortune. However, I feel I must add that I think I've earned it. I have been working hard to stay at a daily LC count since the end of July and have been exercising since Feb 2001 to tone up all those flabby muscles.

Other thoughts: I agree with Karen in keeping things real and simple. I like to look at food and be able to tell where it came from. No protein bars, shakes or other processed foods for me! Don't really crave any sweet things. If I do I eat whipped cream w/o sweetner with berries or jello.

The exceptions to the rule are Bernard Callebaut Choccies and gourmet desserts (whipped cheesecake and the like) that you only get at fancy shmancy restaurants. Of course, these treats come very, very, very, far and few between seeing as I am just a poor old housewife I don't have to worry to much about cheating!!!

See ya'll
Have a good one

Default slow and steady

and....simple....seems to be working...way to go! I'm also one of those people who think the simplier you keep it probably is best. Back to the basics!! With lowcarbering it doesn't have to be complicated, only if we make it that way.

I'm one of those people who happen to enjoy being in the kitchen...so I love trying new ideas and recipes.

It's great when you feel other things happening to your body when the scales don't move....I'm famous for this!!

Keep up the good work....and keep us posted on your progress.
