Default Burger King has Low Carb Platters!

I'm surprised that I haven't seen anything on the boards before now, so I'm thinking that this may be a test marketing thing in this area (Eugene, OR). That could also explain why it's not on the Burger King Site, either.

However, all the Burger Kings around town are now offering five different "Low Carb Platters," two for breakfast and three for lunch/dinner.

I'm not exactly sure what the "small" breakfast platter is, but the large one is two eggs with cheese and two sausage patties (there may have been something else on there, I just glanced at the picture).

For lunch, there is a single whopper patty, double whopper patty or large chicken patty. They all come with cheese, bacon, pickles, onions, lettuce and tomato. The chicken platter has the most carbs, 5 grams total, and the rest range from 2-3 grams of carbs. They range in price from 2.99 to 4.99.

If this is a test marketing thing, I hope it goes over well. It's so nice to finally see one of the "biggies" getting on the LC bandwagon.

Wow! I hope they do get on with this. I went to a BK in our area and was refused my sandwich with no bread. Imagine that!

The BK where I live wouldn't serve my hamburger without the bun either. I couldn't make the girl understand that it wasn't that difficult but they wouldn't do it.

Mine has no problem doing it my way. I get double cheeseburger-plain-no bun-in a box-cheese between the patties-pickles on top, plus a side salad with ranch.

I was told no problem, the manager is on Atkins so they know what to do.

It's no problem where I live too. they put it in a tray. I have also had no problem at Jack in the box( it is actualy on there register) and carles JR. I suggest writing to the corp office about those resturants that wont do it.

What I really want is for them to offer a low carb bun to go with that bacon double cheeseburger...

Thats pretty cool. I went to Mc Donalds once. I ordered it w/o the bun and they looked at me like I had 4 eyes.

not only that but they put the cheese under the burger so it melted and stuck on the cardboard box. not only that but I just said no ketchup and no bun and they put NOTHING on the burger... not even the bacon I tried to explain but then I decided they would prolly spit in my food so I didnt bother.

Wendys on the other hand was all prepared handed me my food on a platter with a fork and knife toppings on the side all perfect.

I hope it does well. I am sick of trying to scrape the cheese off my biscuit . Lately I have just been eating the little bit of biscuit thats stuck to my sandwich.

You shouldve said " see ,this is how its done" and ripped the buns off and slapped them on the counter. Maybe if you guys complain at the website you might get some free coupons or something.
It never works for me when i complain about companies, but it does work for others.
