New to Atkins, with questions
I have been on Atkins for about one week now. I was wondering if you all can answer a few questions.
In looking at the new FDA food labels, they sometimes have a subcategory for "Sugar". Should I pay attention to the Net Carbs of Atkins, or is the grams of "Sugar" found on the label what Atkins is really trying to approximate anyways? An example would be Triscuits, which have approximately 23 grams of carbohydrate, but sugar is 0 grams. Fiber is 4 grams. Net carbs is 19 grams, which is horrible, but Sugar is 0 - which would seem to be fine. (I have a friend who lost a lot of weight on a low carb diet while still eating Triscuits).
Thanks for your help!
