Default Found a VERY low-carb hot dog..

Maple Leaf 100% All Beef Frankfurters

each weiner has 0.4 carbs, and their pretty big too...

in the ingredients it has dextrose though...maybe VERRY little?

i thought it was a typo on the packaging, though their 100% Pork and beef hotdog also said 0.4..., so i checked their website, it said 0.4 carbs too!

is this for real? can i trust this?

here is a link

http://www.mapleleaf.ca/consumerfoo..._ID=2&lang=0#81

you have to scroll all the way to the bottom, i had 1 about an hour ago, they taste good too! if this is not b.s. i am gonna enjoy this!!

it is not nitrate free though, but thats a sacrifice i am willing to make, if it doesnt slow down weight loss.

actaully on the package it says no FIllers or MSG added...and since it has dextrose, AND is still only 0.4 carbs, i think its safe for me to assume that it probably doesnt have that much nitrate in it either.

Thumbs up

I've been eating them since I started Atkins. They're really good, I prefer the beef. All beef, no fillers, very low carb!

Run the info from the Nutrition label through the Hidden Carb calculator? See the menu bar above, click on LowCarb Tools then select the Hidden Carb calculator.

That way you can always double-check any nutritional info label.

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the news about the hot dogs. I love them, in fact I am headed to the grocery now. Happy eating.
