Question Are these foods allowed in induction?

I was wondering can i have the following in induction?
Lemonade with stevia
Peanuts 5 grams
Cucumber
Oatmeal ( not sure because of fiber )
Cow Milk
Ice cream sweetened with Equal (has aspartame)
Steamed Pakchoi with scarce corn and green beans

If not please tell me so and if not so how much can i have.

The only item on your list that's Ok is the cucumber.
All the others are not allowed on induction.
Oatmeal & Milk are a TOTAL NO No for low carb.
I don't know what pakchoi is?

I'd highly recommend visiting http://atkins.com/Archive/2001/12/15-464579.html to see what is allowed on induction. Reading the book and checking the website will give you all the information that you need to complete a successful induction.

Happy LCing!

Have to second what the above noters said. The only one allowed is the cucumber. The oatmeal and milk aren't ok for LCing at all. There are substitutes for those once you are out of induction. Also, there is an ice cream called "Slender" that is made with Splenda and not aspertame.

The book and website will tell you everything that you need to know. They are like my new bibles.

Good luck and happy LCing!!

Lemonade with stevia -- If it is Lemon Flavored mix (I.E. Unsweetened Kool Aid), it should be fine. But, as always read the label. 2-3 tbsp. of Lemon Juice is allowed during induction.

Peanuts 5 grams -- Nope. But, you can add them back once you hit OWL (after the first two weeks).

Cucumber -- Yes. (Vegetables -- 2-3 cups/day)

Oatmeal ( not sure because of fiber ) -- NO !!!

Cow Milk -- NO !!!

Ice cream sweetened with Equal (has aspartame) -- NO !!! Aspartame is not allowed...and "No-Sugar Added" usually has sugar added (Maltodextrin). Unfortunately, they can legally call it "No-Sugar Added" even if they add Maltodextrin (Sugar derived from Corn/Rice).

Steamed Pakchoi with scarce corn and green beans -- I don't know what that is. Green Beans are fine in induction (Other vegetables -- 1 cup/day). Corn is a whole grain, and thus should not be added back until Pre-Maintance.

I assume that Pak choi might actually be Bok Choi which is Chinese cabbage. This is allowed on Induction as an alternative: 1 c. has 1.6 g carbs with 0.7 g fiber. Leave out the corn though.
