Lifting weights, much harder than I thought....
Hi there,
I’ve started lifting weights for the first time in my life starting this week at my local fitness center. During the initial days of indoctrination, everything seemed quite effortless. I thought to myself, “wow, compared to cardio, this is a breeze.”
I couldn’t have been more wrong. On Friday, my trainer finally put me through the full sets and reps. It wasn’t much, just a modest 10 reps for 3 sets. Not very heavy either; actually, I’m even embarrassed write on here how little weight I was actually lifting during my reps.
Yesterday and today, I’ve never felt sorer in my entire life. It is as if every muscle in my body feels sore; and, it’s even an effort to lift simple things now, like a gallon of water.
My question is once I get acclimated to this, will this sore sensation go away after workouts?
Thanks.
